The 2021 National Hunt Finale will take place over two days following a very successful National Hunt season at Leopardstown - March 7th & 8th 2021.

The TRI Equestrian National Hunt Finale takes place on March 7th and showcases seven exciting jumps races. It features the TRI Equestrian Handicap Steeplechase which is off at 4.50 p.m. The race was won last year by Gun Digger for trainer Gordon Elliott and jockey, Kevin Brouder. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Donohue Marquees, TRM Equine Nutrition, Irish Stallion Farms EBF and TRI Equestrian for their sponsorship of the fifteen races over the two days.

March 8th, 2021 is our official Schools Go Racing day where we invite primary school children in our local community and educate them about how horse racing works. Due to unprecedented times, we are unable to welcome primary schools to Leopardstown Racecourse. However, the HRI Racing Juniors is an initiative from Horse Racing Ireland which provides a platform where children can learn more about horses in a child-centred way. HRI Juniors have created print at home activities for your children while learning from home.

  • The final two racedays of the National Hunt Lockdown League are upon us taking place on March 7th & 8th; the National Hunt Finale weekend. Gary Dunne currently leads the table followed closely by Helen Griffiths, Caroline Lennon and Kerrie Anderson. Can Gary hold on to the lead for the final two racedays to be crowned champion? In the Dublin Racing Festival only table, after 2 days of top-class racing, John O’Callaghan took the victory over two days by 3 points from Mickey Grainger in what was a tight affair. Damien Horgan finished in 3rd while 5 others finished tied 4th on 105 points.
