  • We warmly welcome horse owners, their horse and their teams to Leopardstown on race days. Our goal is to ensure your day is both successful and enjoyable. From the trainer entering your horse, to the grooms traveling with your horse, we look after all aspects of your visit with great detail and attention.

    Ticket Prices

    Arrival at Leopardstown Racecourse

    We have a reserved Owners and Trainers car park for those with a horse running on the day, on arrival parking attendance will direct you to the nearest available space. To request tickets click here

    If you are planning to come racing by LUAS, we have a FREE shuttle bus for all customers running at regular intervals between Sandyford Luas stop and the racecourse.

    Going reports

    From entry stage up to the day of racing we supply going reports on our website and Twitter page. You can also call the office anytime on +353 1 2890500 for further detailed information.

    Leopardstown track

    The track is a left-handed oval of one mile and six furlongs with a run in of 2 ¾ furlongs and an uphill finish.

    Disabled Parking

    On display of your disabled pass we have reserved disabled parking at our main turnstiles, a parking attendant will find the closed reserved space for you.

    Helicopter Access

    If you are arriving to the course by helicopter please inform the racecourse at least 24hrs prior to the raceday to arrange insurance documents etc. Please click here to inform us/request additional information about helicopter access. 

  • Owners and trainers facility

    Our exclusive ‘Leopardstown Lounge’ owners and trainers facility is located on the second floor of the Grandstand with a reserved viewing area overlooking the finish line. In the Lounge owners and trainers can enjoy a complimentary two course buffet lunch with tea or coffee (4 meals allocated per runner/owner). The numerous tv’s in the Lounge will show all the sporting action from Ireland and abroad, there are also tote betting facilities and full bar with easy access out to the stands and parade ring. Tables are reserved for 1 hour sittings to accommodate all owners during the day. We would ask those wishing to reserve a table to do so by emailing [email protected] booking must be made no later than 5pm the evening before racing.

    Grooms

    For grooms traveling from overseas Leopardstown will arrange and cover the cost of all the accommodation and transfers to the racecourse from the hotel during their stay. Leopardstown also has a Best Turned Out prize for every race during the year, with a minimum value of €100, equalling to an investment of over €16,000 annually.

    Badge Collection

    Should you have a declared runner on arrival to the course please go to the designated AIR Turnstile where each of your 4 AIR card issued to you by the ‘Association of Irish Racecourses’ will gain you admission and 1 Leopardstown badge per card, maximum 4 passes per runner. Should you be part of a syndicate we will arrange general admission and parade ring access for everyone involved in the ownership of the horse, for a sole owner 4 extra general admission passes will be allocated also. These passes are to be requested through Aidan McGarry in the Horse Racing Ireland’s Ownership department. Aidan’s details will be sent to you in an email at entry stage. Passes can only be issued in advance and cannot be arrange on the day at the course.

    Winning owners are always invited to our dedicated winning connections suite after the race to relive the race and celebrate your win in style. Post-race you will be given a complimentary DVD of the race and your trophy/memento to bring home.

    Racing surface

    Throughout the year the highest level of attention is given to the racing surface to provide the best surface possible at all times. We have invested in a new top of the range watering system to help maintain the track during the flat season. For the National Hunt season there are seven hurdles and ten chase fences on the circuit to test the skills of the best horses in Ireland and the UK.

    Stables, equine care and accommodation

    Horses travelling from overseas have use of our secure overnight stables. While your horse is here the best equine care is available, from farriers to vets, to ensure the highest welfare standards are met.
