Ladies Race leads the way at Leopardstown in October


Leopardstown are encouraging its racegoers to run around their living room in support of Breast Cancer Ireland’s Great Pink Run

Aisling Hurley, CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland said “Now more than ever we need the support of everyone.  The Great Pink Run celebrates its 10th anniversary and while we cannot bring everyone together in one physical space, we are encouraging people to gather their friends and family locally and help us as we need to continue investing in research so that we can change the dial positively for breast cancer into the future.’

At Leopardstown we are used to watching horses run around the track, but on 17th October Leopardstown are encouraging its racegoers to run around their living room in support of Breast Cancer Ireland’s Great Pink Run, as it goes virtual for the first time! 

The Great Pink run is celebrating its 10th Anniversary and over the weekend of the 17th October you can join in by walking, jogging or running a 5k or 10k distance to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland .

On Saturday 17th October Leopardstown are delighted to be running “The Breast Cancer Ireland Ladies Handicap” to raise awareness for the charity and are directing racegoers to register for the virtual “Great Pink Run” at  www.greatpinkrun.ie . Registration is €15 which will give you access to

 

upload your distance that weekend, share your photos and watch the globe turn pink for breast cancer research.  

Leopardstown stages the “Microsoft Cup” in May, which is the world’s most valuable Ladies only flat handicap, but due to the current pandemic the course was unable to run this Breast Cancer Ireland fundraising event.  Leopardstown Ladies Evening featuring the Microsoft Cup will be back on Friday 14th May 2021.

 

Leopardstown stages a two day October Fixture on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th October with the first race off at 2pm and 1.50pm respectively. For further race meeting information and to #BeInvolved from home visit www.leopardstown.com
