  • Longines Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown provides not only World Class racing for the horse racing enthusiast,  with  two Group  1 races the day is also enhanced with a certain Joie de vivre that only Leopardstown, Dublins premier race track, can offer.


    To compliment the day we provide an additional range of gourmet food offerings, bespoke bars and lounge areas decorated to the highest standards,  creating a luxurious environment in which guests can enjoy this unique race day.  


    Ticket Prices

    Gates Open approx 11am | First Race approx 1.55pm | Last Race approx 6.00pm | Event Ends approx 8.30pm

    Public Shuttle buses operating from Sandyford Luas from approx 11.30am until 10.30pm

    Race & Rail shuttle buses operating from Blackrock DART station to Leopardstown will operate. Pick Up from Blackrock DART Station at 2pm & 3pm approx. returning from Car park A at Leopardstown at 7.30pm & 8.45pm approx.

    • Anyone aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to gain FREE admittance to the racecourse. 
    • OAP’s and Students must be in possession of the necessary identification in order to gain admittance into the racecourse at the reduced rate.

    Located at the heart of the general enclosure, the elegantly dressed Champions Quarter is the centre of all events that take place on Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown, The Longines Prize for Elegance, Morning with Pat Smullen & Special Guests, Champions Lawn and Live music after racing all take place in the Champions Quarter which is accessible to all race goers.

    There is lots going on during day 1 of Longines Irish Champions Weekend to entertain the whole family. Kids and Families will be catered for throughout the day in the family fun zone which features a petting farm, educational talks from front runner, a race horse simulator, face painters, Hercules the horse, hobby horse races , large outdoor games and much more! ALL KIDS GO FREE when accompanied by a parent or guardian. A family ticket admits two adults and any number of children aged 17 or younger.

    Unique to Longines Irish Champions weekend this boutique thoroughbred horse sale offers racing enthusiasts a different aspect to the horseracing industry, an opportunity to see how racehorses are purchased via the auction market . Goffs are leading bloodstock auctioneers in Ireland and have brought their auction house to Leopardstown Racecourse. Offering a select number of horses in training to be purchased at the race day, some of them declared to run during the weekend, giving potential owners the opportunity to purchase a runner at this premier weekend of racing.
