  • How to get to Leopardstown

    There are a number of options available when travelling to Leopardstown Racecourse. Car parking is free, but we do advise customers to allow ample time for the journey on racedays.

  • Driving to Leopardstown

     

    Please note that there is a new road layout in operation from Wednesday 22nd July 2015 

    The new Leopardstown Link Road is opened providing access to:

    • Leopardstown Race Course;
    • Leopardstown Park Hospital; and
    • South County Business Park

    The existing access to South County Business Park and Leopardstown Park Hospital off Leopardstown Roundabout will be closed as will the existing access to Leopardstown Race Course.

    Traffic accessing the New Link Road from Leopardstown Road East/N11 will:

    • Turn left at the new traffic lights

     

    Traffic accessing the New Link Road from Brewery Road will:

    • Take the first exit on Leopardstown Roundabout
    • Turn right at the new traffic lights

     Traffic accessing the New Link Road from Burton Hall Road will:

    •  Take the second exit on Leopardstown Roundabout
    • Turn right at the new traffic lights

     

    Traffic accessing the New Link Road from Leopardstown Road West/M50 will:

    • Take the third exit on Leopardstown Roundabout
    • Turn right at the new traffic lights

    With the exception of closing the access/egress to South County Business Park & Leopardstown Park Hospital the Leopardstown Roundabout will operate as normal.

     

    Driving via the M50-southbound
    Take exit 14 off the M50 travel straight through the first roundabout at top of ramp. Continue straight down through traffic lights. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Leopardstown Road, and take the first right to enter the racecourse.

    Driving via the M50-northbound

    Take exit 15 off the M50 and cross the flyover, following the signs for Leopardstown Racecourse.

    From Dublin city centre

    Take the N11 (Stillorgan dual carriageway) heading towards the southeast, past Stillorgan. Turn right at traffic lights onto Leopardstown Road R113 signposted Leopardstown. Continue straight and Leopardstown's entrance is on the left just before the traffic lights in front of the roundabout.

    Car Parking

    There are two entrances for cars to Leopardstown Racecourse you can use on race days. Car parking is free, but we do advise racegoers to allow ample time for the journey on race days.

    1. The first is on Leopardstown Road, near the roundabout linking Leopardstown Park Hospital, Leopardstown Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate and Brewery Road.
    2. The second entrance is off the M50 at junction 15 (Carrickmines).

    Taking the Luas

    Luas light rail offers a regular service on the Green Line from St Stephens Green in Dublin city centre to the Sandyford / Brewery Road stop. This trip takes 22 minutes. The racecourse is only a short walk from the Sandyford stop, however on race days we offer a complimentary shuttle bus service between the stop and the racecourse. 

    From Dublin Airport

    Dublin Airport is about an hour's drive from Leopardstown racetrack.  Aircoach operates a regular bus service between Dublin Airport and Burton Hall Road which is adjacent to the entrance to Leopardstown racecourse . There are also regular bus services into the city centre from the Airport.
