We warmly welcome horse owners, their horse and their teams to Leopardstown on race days. Our goal is to ensure your day is both successful and enjoyable. From the trainer entering your horse, to the grooms traveling with your horse, we look after all aspects of your visit with great detail and attention.
From entry stage up to the day of racing we supply going reports on our website and social media channels. You can also call the office anytime on +353 1 2890500 for further detailed information.
The track is a left-handed oval of one mile and six furlongs with a run in of 2 ¾ furlongs and an uphill finish.
Throughout the year the highest level of attention is given to the racing surface to provide the best surface possible at all times. We have invested in a new top of the range watering system to help maintain the track during the flat season. For the National Hunt season there are seven hurdles and ten chase fences on the circuit to test the skills of the best horses in Ireland and the UK.
Horses travelling from overseas have use of our secure overnight stables. While your horse is here the best equine care is available, from farriers to vets, to ensure the highest welfare standards are met.
Accommodation for grooms travelling from overseas is looked after by the racecourse. Every race in Leopardstown has a Best Turned Out prize of at least €70, this is a commitment of nearly €12,000 annually to reward grooms for their hard work.
