Six Leopardstown Graduates win at Cheltenham 2012
Tuesday, 20 March 2012
What a great performance by the
Leopardstown graduates at Cheltenham last week. No fewer than six horses that ran in Leopardstown over the winter season won at Cheltenham Festival.
Pride of place goes to Synchronised who won the Lexus Chase on his way to the Gold Cup. Sir Des Champs won the Boylesports Novice Chase and collected the €50,000 bonus after winning the Jewson Novice Chase at Cheltenham. Salsify won the Raymond Smith Memorial Hunter Chase and went on to win the Christie's Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham on Friday last week. Other horses that ran on our winter series and who won at Cheltenham include Alderwood, Champagne Fever and Countrywide Flame.
The success of these horses speaks volumes for the quality of the racing we offer at Leopardstown; the best that national hunt has to offer. We would like to offer our congratulations to the winning connections and thank them for their continued support of Leopardstown racecourse.
