Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) today announced a further strengthening of the Irish Flat Pattern race programme, having secured European Pattern Committee (EPC) approval for the promotion of two races from Listed to Group 3 status for 2008. Including the Silver Flash (7f, 2yo Fillies) race at Leopardstown.

LEOPARDSTOWN RACE MEETING -13TH JANUARY 2008. The 81- 109 SM Morris Handicap Hurdle has be divided to form an eight race programme. The first division will be run as the Fitzpatrick Castle Handicap Hurdle. Race times will be confirmed after a 7.30am inspection on Sunday the 13th January. Ground at present is heavy.

The largest racing festival of the winter season and was launched by sports pundit Eamon Dunphy in Ron Blacks on Tuesday 4th December. The Leopardstown Christmas Festival starts on December 26th and runs for four days to December 29th.
