Island Life Prevails At Leopardstown
The Mick Holly Memorial Handicap Chase was the feature race on Sunday’s card at Leopardstown and it was the Noel Meade-trained Island Life that ground out the win. Ross Geraghty picked up the ride after Paul Carberry was ruled out through injury and he made no mistake, giving the six-year-old a strong ride on his way to winning by a neck. The team of Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh dominated the remainder of the card by completing a treble, winning the conditions hurdle with Ebaziyan, the valuable 2m handicap hurdle with Serpentaria and the novice chase with Deutschland.
