The first Family Fun Raceday was a Roaring Success!

  

  The marquee was jam-packed for the Conor Lambert Puppet Theatre on Sunday, 22nd April with 45 minutes of shrieks, laughter and plenty of singing.  

Join us on Sunday, 13th May for another fun-filled afternoon.  We will kick off with the Young Racegoers Club so if you are aged between 8 and 12 years of age this is your chance to learn more about racing. Would you like to know how to read the racecard?  Perhaps you would like to design your own racing colours or learn some more racing jargon?  Meet us in the white marquee at 1.30pm to find out more!

Activities ...

Alongside the thrill of racing, there will be free activities such as face-painting, bouncing castles, games and balloon modelling aswell as an unmissable performance by the Conor Lambert Puppet Theatre. We will also have free crèche facilities available for children aged 2-10 years.

Create a Collage ....

To co-incide with these days, we are running a ‘Create a Collage’ competition and would be delighted if your school would take part.  The theme of the collage is “Family Fun at the Races.”  Entries should be A3 in size and can be made from any variety of materials.  We welcome up to 5 entries per class under the following categories:  

Category A	Under 6 years
Category B	7 – 9 years
Category C	10 – 12 years

All collages received will be displayed at the racecourse and all classes taking part will be invited to enjoy a day at the races on Sunday, 13^th May.  With thanks to Crayola, prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category in the parade ring during racing. 

Prizes ...

Courtesy of SelfCatering.ie, one lucky family will take home a week’s self-catering holiday in Ireland in our free racecard competition.  There will also be a shopping voucher from Stillorgan Shopping Centre and a weekend break at the luxurious Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel up for grabs.

The first of seven races is off at 2.25pm.  A special Family Ticket costs €20 and will admit two adults and an unlimited number of children.
