Leopardstown Racecourse announced today that TOS Ireland Ltd. (Toshiba) will continue to sponsor the Irish Champion Hurdle in 2010.

Leopardstown Manager, Tom Burke said: “We are delighted that Toshiba, a world renowned brand, have again pledged their support for this most prestigious Grade 1 race which always attracts the top two-mile hurdlers.”
With a history going back over 130 years, Toshiba has supported some of the top sporting events in the world, including the FIFA World Cup and the Rugby World Cup. This year’s race was won by Brave Inca repeating his previous win in the race in 2006. Other recent winners include Sizing Europe, Hardy Eustace and Macs Joy while the legendary Istabraq completed a four-in-a-row in 2001.
